About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and seasoned Audit Supervisor to join our dynamic audit team. As an Audit Supervisor, you will be responsible for performing and guiding other staff members in delivering multi-faceted and complex assignments and tasks for a variety of clients and businesses. You will demonstrate a breadth and depth of professional knowledge and technical skills, share accountability with the manager and partner to ensure exceptional client service, and lead the engagement team with an emphasis on collaboration, flexibility, and valuing the differences in others.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and guide other staff members in delivering multi-faceted and complex assignments and tasks for a variety of clients and businesses.
- Demonstrate a breadth and depth of professional knowledge and technical skills.
- Share accountability with the manager and partner to ensure exceptional client service.
- Lead the engagement team with an emphasis on collaboration, flexibility, and valuing the differences in others.
- Develop and implement audit plans, conduct audits, and prepare audit reports.
- Identify and mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with clients, engagement managers, and partners to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Provide guidance and support to junior staff members to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following qualifications:
- BS/BA degree in Accounting, with an active pursuit of CPA certification.
- 4+ years of auditing experience with independent or charter schools, preferably with a public accounting firm.
- Ability to work independently on assignments and address issues or questions with the client, engagement manager, or partner.
- Strong time management, organizational abilities, attention to detail, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
