Job Summary
We're seeking experienced caregivers to join our team on a part-time basis, working weekends, day, night, and overnight shifts. As a caregiver with Right at Home - Monterey Bay, you'll have the opportunity to provide personal care activities that assist clients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and medication reminders. You'll also be responsible for performing light housekeeping duties, preparing meals, and providing companionship to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care activities, such as:
- Bathing, showering, dressing, and shaving
- Assisting with transferring/moving clients from place to place throughout their home
- Medication reminders
- Assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises
- Perform light housekeeping duties, such as:
- Vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, or mopping floors
- Doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry, and cleaning the bathroom
- Prepare meals and snacks according to instructions
- Accompany clients on errands or medical appointments
- Provide companionship activities, such as:
- Reading, music, puzzles, etc.
- Assist with dementia care
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Education: High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred
- Language: Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job
- Experience: 1 year of experience in Personal Care duties and bathroom and incontinence assistance
- License and Certification: CNA license, Home Health Aide, or Personal Care Aide certification preferred
- Driver's License and Insurance: Possess a valid driver's license and current automobile insurance
- Background Check: Pass a background check
