As a CNN FactCheck intern, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, fairness, and balance of our news stories, working alongside experienced professionals in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

About the Internship

Our CNN FactCheck internship is an 11-week paid program designed to provide students with hands-on experience in news verification, research, and fact-checking. As an intern, you'll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from script and story approval to investigative research and digital content verification.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fact-check scripts, digital articles, and long-form stories for accuracy, fairness, and balance
• Review pieces for editorial accuracy, fairness, and balance
• Field editorial requests from CNN correspondents around the world by phone, email, and in-person
• Help track projects and collaborate with team members to ensure seamless workflow
• Develop research skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced news environment

Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you should:

• Be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship (proof of enrollment required)
• Be a rising Junior or Senior Undergrad Student (18 years or older)
• Have a strong interest in news and current events
• Possess excellent research and analytical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
• Be in academic good standing (3.0 or above GPA) - a transcript will be required to verify your GPA if an offer is extended
• Be authorized to work for any employer in the United States and not require work visa sponsorship from Warner Bros. Discovery

Program Details

  • Option 2: June 9th - August 22nd
• Work schedule: 35-40 hours per week in a hybrid capacity
• Location: Atlanta, GA (with regular in-office attendance required)
