Job Summary
As a Retail Customer Service Associate, you will be the face of FedEx Office, providing exceptional customer experiences and driving sales growth. You will be responsible for taking orders, coordinating activities in the store, providing pricing and product information, and recommending FedEx Office products and services. You will also operate and maintain various equipment, manage the production queue and output, and complete assigned tasks based on priority.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer experiences by utilizing consultative skills to anticipate customer needs, suggest alternatives, and find solutions
- Take complex customer orders using order systems and provide accurate pricing information
- Operate and maintain various equipment, including printing, binding, and shipping equipment
- Manage the production queue and output, and prioritize tasks to meet customer needs
- Provide customer expertise in printing, signs and graphics, and shipping product lines
- Recommend FedEx Office products and services to customers
- Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly retail store environment
- Process financial transactions using a Point of Sale terminal (POS), including handling cash and making change
- Stock and replenish store supplies and materials
- Assist in the training of store team members
Essential Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- 6+ months of specialized experience in customer service, sales, or a related field
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to stand during entire shift, excluding meal and rest periods
- Ability to move and lift 55 pounds
- Ability to bend/twist at the waist and knees on a consistent basis
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and other team members
- Ability to perform work activities requiring cooperation and instruction
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment, under substantial pressure
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment
- Knowledge of printing, shipping, and document services
- Experience with Point of Sale terminals and order management systems
- Certification in customer service or sales
