We are seeking a Head of Finance to lead the company's financial strategy, ensuring strong treasury management, liquidity oversight, and financial planning for a crypto-first iGaming business. This role will focus on managing financial risk, optimizing balance sheets, and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
Additionally, this role will play a key part in commercial negotiations, ensuring that financial agreements, vendor contracts, and strategic partnerships align with the company’s financial objectives and growth strategy.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in crypto treasury, financial strategy, and risk management, preferably within the iGaming, fintech, or blockchain industries.
In addition to leading the company’s financial strategy within a crypto-first iGaming business, the role will also require expertise in traditional FIAT banking. As the company expands its FIAT capabilities, the Head of Finance will play a critical role in managing relationships with traditional banking partners, ensuring smooth integration between crypto and FIAT operations.
As this is a fully remote role, the successful candidate will also need to demonstrate exceptional self-discipline, strong communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across distributed teams.
Oversee the company’s treasury strategy, ensuring sufficient liquidity for crypto and fiat transactions. Further, optimise the company's holdings in order to maximise profitability.
Manage hot and cold wallets, ensuring secure storage and optimal liquidity levels.
Develop hedging strategies to mitigate crypto volatility risks.
Optimize crypto off-ramping processes and manage fiat reserves efficiently.
Build and implement financial forecasting models for business stability and growth.
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for all financial operations.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations across various jurisdictions.
Establish internal financial controls to minimize fraud and security risks.
Lead financial negotiations with key partners, payment processors, and service providers.
Oversee and optimise the invoicing process with all vendors.
Support contract negotiations for banking, PSP, and infrastructure services, ensuring favorable financial terms.
Collaborate with legal and operations teams to assess financial risks and obligations in commercial agreements.
Work closely with the Head of Payments to align financial operations with payment infrastructure.
Partner with Risk & Compliance teams to maintain AML/KYC integrity in financial operations.
Assist executive leadership in financial planning and strategic decision-making.
Be responsible for all finance-related regulatory obligations, including reporting financial performance to regulators where required.
Ensure compliance with jurisdictional financial regulations and collaborate closely with legal and compliance teams to maintain financial integrity.
Act as a key stakeholder in all Opex (Operating Expenses) and Capex (Capital Expenditures) decision-making, ensuring financial viability and alignment with strategic objectives.
Maintain oversight of the full P&L, ensuring balanced investment in growth while safeguarding profitability.
Oversee payroll, headcount forecasting, and remuneration management, ensuring financial feasibility of hiring decisions.
Participate in the approval process for significant hires and compensation structures to maintain long-term profitability and financial sustainability.
7+ years in financial operations, treasury management, or fintech, ideally within crypto iGaming, or high-risk industries.
Expertise in blockchain transactions, fiat banking, and financial modeling.
Proven track record in managing liquidity, risk, and compliance in crypto environments.
Experience in negotiating financial agreements and vendor contracts.
Strong analytical and financial modeling capabilities.
Deep understanding of crypto treasury and fiat balance sheet optimization.
Ability to communicate complex financial concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
Strong network within the crypto banking and PSP industries.
Experience scaling financial operations for fast-growing startups.
