Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Provide coaching and mentoring to classroom teachers to enhance instructional techniques and improve student outcomes
- Develop and implement intervention services to support students with diverse needs, including those who are visually impaired
- Analyze student data to inform instruction and make data-driven decisions
- Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement individualized instruction and behavior plans
- Provide professional development opportunities for staff on universal best practices and interventions for learning and behavior
- Participate in school-based leadership opportunities, such as team meetings and lead teacher meetings

Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- Louisiana Teacher certification as set forth in Louisiana Standards for State Certification of School Personnel (Bulletin 746), including Deaf education endorsement
- Instructional Coach Certification (or willingness to acquire within three years of hire date)
- A minimum of three years of teaching experience and/or professional experience, with special education experience preferred
- Flexibility and creativity in approaches to teaching and learning
- Willingness to work in a team environment and collaborate with staff, administrators, and families
- Knowledge of state content standards and assessment processes
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Experience working with students who are visually impaired or have other disabilities
