Job Summary

The Assistant Men's and Women's Golf Coach is a part-time position that will work closely with the Director of Golf to run successful NCAA D-II golf programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for instructing student-athletes in individual skill development, technique, and strategy, as well as recruiting new talent, providing academic support, and promoting the philosophy and objectives of Hardrocker Athletics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Instruct student-athletes in individual skill development, technique, and strategy
• Recruit new student-athletes, including on-campus visits of prospective student-athletes
• Provide academic development, time management, and life skills instructions
• Assist the Director of Golf with practice facility maintenance, decision-making processes, scheduling, recruiting, and practice
• Promote the philosophy and objectives of Hardrocker Athletics, adhering to all Departmental policies and procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the University, the RMAC, and the NCAA

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

• Two-year college or technical degree
• Successful completion of the NCAA recruiting exam
• Valid driver's license and good driving record
• Successful background check

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in golf as an athlete or coach
• Strong knowledge of golf techniques, strategies, and rules
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively with student-athletes, coaches, and staff
