Lyndon Institute is seeking to hire a part-time 504/EST Coordinator to work onsite to support our students. This position will work approximately 22 hours per week during the school year calendar, and report directly to the Dean of Academics.Summary: The 504 coordinators responsibilities include ensuring compliance with the Americans with Disabilities (ADA) Act, Sections 503 and 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and other federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to persons with disabilities.The 504 coordinator is responsible for coordinating Lyndon Institutes policies and procedures relating to persons with disabilities, tracking progress relating to its policies and procedures as well as state and federal laws relating to persons with disabilities, filing all necessary reports, and providing consultative services to Lyndon Institute administration, parents and students.504 Coordinator Responsibilities: - Maintains compliant building records and documentation for all eligible students. - Ensures the implementation of Section 504 procedures in the building. - Coordinates referrals -Determines appropriate 504 team composition- Facilitates evaluation/eligibility determination - Provides notices and consents -Develops 504 plans - Monitors the implementation of 504 plans- Collaborates with 504 eligible students- Schedules annual reviews of each 504 student- Assures that 504 plans move with the student to the next level or new school - Serves as a daily resource to the building administrators, teachers, parents, and community members regarding section 504 issues.- Advises the school administrator regarding discipline issues and procedures for Section 504 eligible students being considered for suspension or expulsion.
