About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated, dynamic, and techsavvy Virtual Teacher who holds current New York State (NYS) teaching certification in all applicable subject areas. The ideal candidate is passionate about student learning, comfortable with digital instruction, and committed to delivering highquality education in a virtual environment.
Responsibilities
• Provide engaging, standardsaligned instruction to students in a fully remote setting
• Deliver lessons across multiple subject areas based on certification
• Use digital tools and learning platforms to support instruction, assessment, and communication
• Monitor student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback• Communicate regularly with students, families, and school staff
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and instructional activities
• Participate in virtual meetings, professional development, and collaborative planning
• Create a supportive, inclusive, and motivating online learning environment
Qualifications
• Valid New York State Teaching Certification (required)
• Certification in multiple subjects strongly preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (Master’s preferred)
• Experience teaching in virtual or hybrid settings is a plus
• Strong communication, organization, and technology skills
• Ability to differentiate instruction and support diverse learners
• Reliable internet connection and comfort with online teaching platforms
