Our client is looking for a U.S. Tax Preparer. Our client is a leading provider of specialized tax services for U.S. individuals and businesses, particularly those with international financial considerations. Responsibilities
• Prepare U.S. individual income tax returns (Form 1040) with precision and timeliness.
• Review financial records and supporting documents to ensure completeness and compliance with tax laws.
• Communicate directly with clients to collect information, clarify details, and resolve questions.
• Stay current on IRS and state regulations to guarantee accurate filings.
• Maintain detailed digital documentation using secure, cloud-based systems.
• Work collaboratively with senior reviewers or CPAs to confirm the quality and accuracy of submitted tax
Requirements
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience preparing U.S. tax returns (Form 1040).
• Strong understanding of federal tax codes, deductions, and credits applicable to both individuals and small businesses.
• Experience using tax preparation software such as ProSeries or similar platforms.
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
• Previous collaboration with U.S.-based accounting or tax preparation teams is preferred.
Qualifications
• Degree or coursework in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline preferred.
• Enrolled Agent (EA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is advantageous.
• Familiarity with expatriate tax filings (Forms 2555, 1116, FBAR, 8938, 5471, 8858) is a plus but not required.
• Highly organized and comfortable working independently in a remote setting.
