Position Description

Anoka County Community Social Services and Behavioral Health (CSS/BH) currently has one, full-time temporary Senior Social Worker position available. This role is responsible for providing assessments and early intervention for individuals referred to the Behavioral Health Intake unit. The unit serves children and families by offering early intervention and resource navigation for up to 180 days. Using a person-centered approach, the primary goal is to meet individuals where they are and assess their needs. During this period, social workers coordinate access to appropriate county and community services tailored to each individual's or family's mental health and social service needs. When necessary, individuals are transferred to ongoing service teams for continued support. Behavioral Health Intake services are open to all Anoka County residents, regardless of age, income, diagnosis, or insurance status. Referrals are accepted from a wide range of sources, including hospitals, treatment facilities, outpatient clinics, schools, and law enforcement agencies.
