What You'll Do
As a Social Media Lead, you will be an extremely hands-on role with a focus on content creation, team management, and strategy implementation. Your primary goals will include:
- Developing and maintaining unique social media strategies to grow our online presence, improve marketing efforts, and drive conversions
- Setting the vision and managing overall content strategy and performance for all social media channels, continuously innovating with new formats and platforms
- Creating original content, managing posts, and analyzing metrics to gauge the success of our social media campaigns
- Utilizing data-driven insights to adjust the social media strategy for optimal results, sharing data and results to demonstrate channel health, community engagement, and test-and-learn opportunities
- Staying updated on the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices
- Building and leading the Social Media Team and content creators to ideate, create, and curate engaging content, including text, images, videos, and graphics
What You'll Bring
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- 5+ years of experience in social media with significant growth in follower engagement
- A startup-hungry mindset, excelling in fast-paced, scrappy environments, and welcoming new challenges
- A commitment to building an in-person work culture, with a preference for a hybrid work model
- Comfort with creating content yourself, including being on camera
- Resourcefulness, scrappiness, and excellent problem-solving skills
- The ability to analyze data to assess performance of social media strategies, and context switch from strategy to player coach roles
- Comprehensive knowledge of social media strategies, platforms, influencer trends, creative practices, and internet/pop culture, with consistent updates on platform changes and trends
- The creativity to develop a unique content strategy and identify new opportunities for growth
- Excellent storytelling and writing skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and collaborate across different teams
- The ability to project manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize tasks based on business needs
- Proven experience building, growing, and managing teams
- The ability to solve problems and identify opportunities through the use of data and analytics, market research, and strategic frameworks
