Why You'll Love This Role
This position is part of our life partner association within the Financial Planning Systems space. As a Senior Analyst, Financial Planning Systems, you'll leverage your mixed background in finance and IT to drive success. You'll be responsible for supporting and developing Financial Systems applications, acting as an internal consultant to determine automation opportunities and create suitable solutions. It's a role that combines technical expertise with financial acumen, making it a unique and engaging opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Hyperion planning application on an ongoing basis for forecast and actual financials, ensuring seamless integration and accurate data analysis.
- Validate data from Hyperion Financial Management and from regulators, maintaining data integrity and compliance.
- Investigate and resolve issues with data, including divisional roll-ups and intercompany transactions, to ensure financial accuracy.
- Perform framework maintenance, keeping client permissions up-to-date and ensuring system efficiency.
- Support clients with framework issues, existing reports, structures, and models, providing timely and effective solutions.
- Assist in the preparation of in-depth circumstances and analytical results examinations on various complex financial issues and competitive industry investigations.
- Facilitate and complete the monthly headcount process regarding Hyperion, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Update Hyperion Planning with order changes; coordinate hierarchy changes with Regulators and GL organization.
- Consult with work groups to determine reporting business necessities; propose and present efficient solutions.
- Create Essbase cubes, Planning Applications, Reports, as well as forecasting and planning models for Finance divisions.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A college degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Information Systems, or equivalent experience/training.
- At least 2 years of work experience in a Finance role, including experience with financial statements, as well as financial modeling and analysis.
- A strong IT background, including experience with Oracle and multi-dimensional and relational database structures.
- The ability to adapt and be flexible in the use of analytical methodologies relating to financial issues.
- The capacity to issue-solve, module, and analyze data with precision.
- Meticulous with a focus on accuracy and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.
- Excellent collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in various circumstances.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
While not mandatory, having experience with Hyperion, as well as development and administration experience (including Intelligent Reporting, Essbase, Planning), will give you a competitive edge. This experience demonstrates a deeper understanding of financial planning systems and the ability to leverage these tools for enhanced financial analysis and planning.
