Job Summary:
We're looking for a talented Remote Medical Transcriptionist to transcribe audio files, edit speech recognition transcripts, and format transcription reports with accuracy and speed. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care by providing timely and accurate transcription services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Listen to recorded dictation of physicians and other healthcare professionals and transcribe audio files with precision
- Edit and correct medical dictation performed by speech recognition software to ensure accuracy
- Format transcription reports and convert transcribed diagnostic test results, procedures, and consultation notes into applicable report formats
- Ensure uncompromised patient care by transcribing quickly and accurately, as well as performing thorough editing
- Identify and follow up on inconsistencies, errors, and missing information within transcribed reports
- Submit transcriptions to healthcare professionals for approval in a timely manner and perform additional tasks as needed
- Protect patient confidentiality and adhere to legal requirements, maintaining professionalism at all times
Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Record systems and ability to transcribe accurately with a minimum typing speed of 65 words per minute
- In-depth knowledge of medical terminology and jargon, as well as editing practice
- Ability to function in a fast-paced work environment with expectations for fast and responsive answers/solutions/actions
- Must maintain training/continuing education requirements and adhere to company policies and procedures and safety guidelines
