The Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) is seeking a Program Associate to support Incubatenergy Labs®, an industry-leading technology demonstration program that connects early-stage startups with energy utilities. The role involves assisting in program delivery, collaborating with various stakeholders, and managing project activities to facilitate the testing and validation of new technologies.
Responsibilities
- Supporting technical searches and analysis for project teams
- Conducting research as directed by the project manager
- Working under general supervision
- Assisting with IEL program operations, including challenge definition, startup scouting, technical review, demonstration planning, and sharing results
- Helping manage timelines, meeting materials, communications, and internal reporting
- Preparing program communications and supporting event coordination for Pitch Day and Demo Day
- Collaborating with EPRI teams, utility members, and startups to ensure smooth program execution
- Conducts technical searches and analyzes technical information in support of the project team
- May conduct research at the direction of the project manager
- Work is performed under general supervision
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical field or equivalent experience required
- Interest in emerging technologies and power sector innovation
- Strong project coordination and organizational skills, with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Excellent communication skills for supporting cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
- Experience coordinating events, including logistics and communications for both virtual and in-person settings
- Comfortable with data analysis and reporting, and able to quickly learn new tools and systems
- Experience in startups or corporate innovation is a plus
