We deliver the business processes of the future, today. We are seeking an experienced Part-Time HR Consultant to provide ongoing, hands-on human resources support on an hourly basis. This contractor will manage day-to-day HR operations, payroll and benefits coordination, compliance activities, and employee lifecycle processes while partnering closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors. This role is best suited for a seasoned HR professional who can work independently, respond quickly to employee needs, and maintain strong operational discipline across multiple HR systems. What You’ll Do General HR Support • Respond to employee inquiries through the HR inbox • Provide guidance on employee benefits, life events, and coverage questions • Manage employee benefit claims, including short-term and long-term disability • Support Open Enrollment activities on a limited, as-needed basis • Review and approve invoices from benefit carriers, background check vendors, and related providers • Administer Criteria Corp assessments • Maintain organized HR records, including filing completed documentation and managing HR inbox communications • Assist accounting and IT with audit and compliance exercises • General employment contract drafting • Assist with drafting and updating company policies Hiring, Onboarding & Offboarding • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes using BambooHR task lists • Partner with IT on tickets related to employee access, equipment, and audit needs • Assign and track EasyLlama compliance training for new hires and current employees • Manage background checks through Checkr, including follow-up and documentation Payroll & Benefits Administration • Assist with semi-monthly payroll runs, including off-cycle payroll as needed • Coordinate HSA funding through Optum Bank • Apply payroll contributions and perform general maintenance for Fidelity 401(k) plans • Prepare and submit monthly employment statistics to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) • Handle registrations, inquiries, and ongoing matters with state tax agencies in coordination with internal stakeholders • Support Workers’ Compensation policy administration, including adding employees in new states Compensation • Hourly rate, commensurate with experience • No benefits provided (independent contractor role) What You’ll Bring • 5+ years of HR experience, ideally in a HR consulting or legal contractor capacity • Strong working knowledge of U.S. payroll, benefits administration, and HR compliance – international experience a plus • Experience with HRIS and payroll systems (BambooHR preferred) • Comfortable managing multiple vendors and external partners • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work independently and manage priorities in an hourly engagement About iGrafx iGrafx is a recognized leader in delivering Business Process Management solutions.
