ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for a Director of Analytics who will own the analytics strategy across our client portfolio. This will include conversion tracking and measurement infrastructure to the dashboards and reporting that prove marketing’s impact on revenue, along with identifying use cases for advanced analytics like incrementality testing and customer lifetime value. Reporting to the VP of Analytics, you’ll help lead the team responsible for ensuring every client has airtight tracking, meaningful reporting, and a clear line of sight from marketing spend to business results.
This role sits at the intersection of technical execution and client strategy. You’ll oversee our core analytics stack, Google Tag Manager, Looker Studio, BigQuery, and our first-party technology, while also building and scaling a new CRM based deliverable. You’re equally comfortable diagnosing a broken conversion tag as you are presenting channel-level ROI to a client’s executive team.
Beyond delivery, you’ll be the person who steps in when accounts need senior-level attention, and you’ll drive continuous improvement in how the analytics department operates by streamlining processes, reducing turnaround times, and raising the quality bar across the board.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Analytics strategy & measurement infrastructure
-
Own the end-to-end analytics strategy for client accounts, ensuring robust conversion tracking via Google Tag Manager (web and server-side), enhanced conversions for paid media platforms (Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok), and accurate data flow into reporting systems
-
Define and maintain measurement frameworks that connect marketing activity to client KPIs, with a focus on revenue attribution and channel-level performance
-
Stay ahead of platform changes, privacy regulations, and cookie deprecation, ensuring our tracking architecture and consent strategies evolve accordingly
Dashboarding & data infrastructure
-
Oversee the design, build, and maintenance of client-facing dashboards in Looker Studio, powered by data ETL’d into and housed in BigQuery
-
Ensure dashboards deliver clear, actionable insights and that reporting standards are consistent across the client portfolio
-
Partner with data engineering resources to maintain and improve ETL pipelines, data models, and QA processes within BigQuery
Bring Deliverables To Scale
-
Lead and scale a service offering that integrates client CRM data to provide bottom-of-funnel insights to clients and close the loop on media efforts.
-
Develop repeatable frameworks for CRM data extraction, transformation, and visualisation that can be deployed efficiently across multiple clients and CRM platforms
-
Partner with client teams to map their sales pipeline stages, define revenue attribution logic, and ensure data accuracy between CRM and marketing platforms
Account escalation & client leadership
-
Serve as the senior point of escalation for analytics-related account issues, quickly diagnosing problems, communicating clearly with clients, and driving resolution quickly
-
Step into client-facing conversations when accounts need senior-level strategic guidance, QBR support, or stakeholder alignment on measurement approach
-
Build trusted relationships with key client contacts, positioning the analytics team as a strategic partner rather than a reporting function
Operational efficiency & team development
-
Identify and eliminate bottlenecks in analytics workflows, from account onboarding and tracking setup to dashboard delivery and ongoing reporting cycles
-
Build and document scalable processes, templates, and SOPs that reduce time-to-value for new accounts and free the team to focus on higher-impact work
-
Recruit, mentor, and develop analysts; establish clear expectations, feedback loops, and career growth paths within the department
-
Track and report on department-level operational metrics (turnaround time, utilisation, error rates) and drive continuous improvement
WHAT YOU BRING
Required
-
8+ years of progressive analytics experience in digital marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, agency experience strongly preferred but not required.
-
Expert-level knowledge of Google Tag Manager, including server-side tagging, custom event configurations, and enhanced conversion setups for major ad platforms
-
Strong grasp of data strategy and ability to articulate the vision, use cases, and requirements to leverage client and marketing data
-
Hands-on experience building and managing dashboards in Looker Studio backed by BigQuery, including writing and optimising SQL queries
-
Strong understanding of data ETL processes and how marketing data flows from platforms through pipelines into a data warehouse
-
Experience working with client CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) and connecting CRM data to marketing performance reporting

Demonstrated ability to build new analytics deliverables or service lines from scratch and scale them across a client portfolio
-
Track record of managing account escalations with poise and urgency
-
Experience building and managing analytics teams, including hiring, coaching, and performance management

-
Background in process improvement, Lean/Agile methodologies, or operational excellence frameworks
-
Certifications in Google Analytics, Google Ads, or Google Tag Manager
