We are seeking an IT Project Manager to manage and guide complex information technology (IT) projects from inception through delivery. This role serves as a critical bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring that project goals align with organizational strategy and are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
This is a proposal-based position; employment is contingent upon contract award and funding availability.
Plan, initiate, and manage complex IT projects across various domains.
Lead and coordinate the work of multidisciplinary technical teams to ensure successful execution.
Serve as the primary liaison between business units and technical staff, translating business needs into technical requirements.
Develop and manage project plans, including defining project scope, objectives, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
Assess business implications and risks for each project stage, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
Monitor project progress, manage changes, and ensure adherence to deadlines, quality standards, and budget constraints.
Prepare and deliver status reports to stakeholders, providing visibility into risks, issues, and performance metrics.
Identify process improvement opportunities and implement project management best practices.
Active Top Secret clearance is required to be considered for this position. You must be eligible for SCI access and a CI Polygraph.
This position will be onsite 100% in the Washington, DC area.
Eight (8)+ years of experience in IT project management or related technical leadership roles.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field is required. In lieu of a degree, will consider 4 years of additional employment.
Proven experience leading cross-functional technical teams on medium to large-scale IT initiatives.
Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience using project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence, or similar.
Active Top Secret clearance is required to be considered for this position. You must be eligible for SCI access and a CI Polygraph.
Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.
Experience working within government, defense, or highly regulated environments.
Familiarity with enterprise IT infrastructure, cloud computing, or software development life cycles.
