About the Mechatronics & Sustainable Packaging Team
The Mechatronics & Sustainable Packaging (MSP) team at blithequark is at the forefront of innovation, driving strategic partnerships with key stakeholders to deliver robust products that seamlessly integrate into our fulfillment network. Our team's primary focus is on developing and implementing virtual platforms to test and verify solutions through simulations and emulations, ensuring high-quality product delivery and meeting customer requirements. As a Quality Assurance Engineer - Virtual & Simulation Testing, you will play a pivotal role in partnering with product teams, QA manual testing and requirements teams, and internal customers to drive quality and innovation across all aspects of mechatronics and packaging.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and execute virtual system test plans (simulations) to validate system-level requirements and ensure integrated system performance across all sub-components, including hardware automation and controls, software applications, and materials compatibility.
- Virtually validate end-to-end solutions using real-life software, ensuring products meet required specifications for quality, function, operation, reliability, maintenance, training & learning, deployment, process- and MHE- integration, service, and support prior to delivery.
- Identify and set appropriate quality standards and parameters for products, communicating these standards to the product team, including hardware, software, controls, and materials development teams.
- Coordinate simulations and testing processes, identifying and analyzing issues, bugs, defects, and other problems, and recommending and facilitating solutions to these issues.
- Connect with internal customers, reviewing client, customer, and user feedback, and maintaining compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree (BS) in a relevant field, such as engineering, computer science, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of proven experience working with large cross-functional engineering teams, with expertise in modeling, simulation, testing, integration, and/or quality assurance.
- Proven experience in fulfillment systems, including storage equipment, material handling systems, automated sortation systems, and related automation equipment.
- Excellent time management skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex systems and identify areas for improvement.
- Ability to travel up to 70% to business locations and project sites, as required.
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Experience with complex automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and systems, including robotics and high-speed manufacturing.
