About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Virtual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team. This full-time, remote position offers a unique opportunity to work with a diverse range of students, providing teletherapy services that cater to their individual needs. As a Virtual SLP, you will be responsible for assessing, developing, and implementing individualized therapy plans, collaborating with teachers, parents, and school staff, and ensuring proper documentation of services and progress.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide remote speech therapy services to students via teletherapy, utilizing a variety of tools and technology to enhance the learning experience.
- Manage a dynamic caseload, with varying ages, needs, and disabilities, and develop individualized therapy plans tailored to each student's unique goals.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to track progress and modify plans as needed, ensuring that students receive the support they need to succeed.
- Ensure proper documentation of services, progress reports, and IEP compliance, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research, best practices, and technologies in speech-language pathology, and incorporate this knowledge into your practice.
- Participate in regular team meetings and professional development opportunities to share knowledge, best practices, and ideas.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) and valid state licensure in Nebraska, demonstrating your expertise and commitment to the field.
- At least 2 years of experience working in a school-based setting, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality services and achieving positive outcomes.
- Experience with teletherapy tools and technology, including Zoom Pro and other HIPAA-compliant platforms.
- Ability to work independently, managing your time and caseload effectively, and making decisions with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, teachers, and school staff.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate records.
