About the Role
As an Online Course Developer/Instructor for the University of Miami School of Law, you will play a critical role in shaping the educational experience of our students. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Developing and teaching online courses on a range of topics, including introduction to law and regulation, compliance skills and risk management, healthcare law and compliance, cyber law and information privacy, AI and the law, real estate and construction law, and more.
- Creating engaging and interactive online learning materials, including course modules, assessments, and multimedia content.
- Collaborating with our in-house instructional designer to ensure that courses are developed with the highest quality and meet the needs of our students.
- Providing exceptional support to students through online discussions, email, and other communication channels.
- Staying up-to-date with developments in the field of law and incorporating this knowledge into your teaching and course development.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications:
- A JD degree from an accredited law school.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field, or comparable expertise.
- Strong teaching and communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students in an online learning environment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
- Proficiency in using learning management systems and other digital tools to support online learning.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications would be highly desirable:
- Experience in teaching online courses, particularly in an asynchronous format.
