We are seeking enthusiastic and passionate tutors to join our team and work with students in Wilmington/Newark, Delaware. As an in-person tutor for ELA and Reading, you will have the opportunity to provide 1-on-1 instruction and support to students in grades K-8, helping them achieve their academic goals and overcome learning gaps.

Job Summary

We are seeking experienced and enthusiastic tutors to provide in-person instruction and support to students in grades K-8. As a tutor, you will work with students to help them understand ELA and Reading subject material, improve their academic performance, and achieve their academic goals. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person tutoring sessions with students, providing personalized instruction and support in ELA and Reading.
• Collaborate with students to help them understand subject material, improve their academic performance, and achieve their academic goals.
• Maintain a consistent schedule, ensuring availability during daytime and after-school hours (daytime hours preferred).
• Demonstrate strong communication skills to engage with students effectively and adapt to changes in a dynamic educational environment.
• Foster a motivating and supportive learning environment that inspires and empowers young minds.
• Utilize your passion for working with kids to make a positive impact on students' lives and help them overcome learning gaps.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in any field.
• Teaching Certificate or a minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a classroom or 1-on-1 tutoring (student teaching and practicum excluded from timing noted).
• Availability for a minimum of 6 hours per week.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students.
• Ability to work with students to help them understand subject material and adapt to changes in a dynamic educational environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with students in grades K-8.
• Familiarity with ELA and Reading curriculum and instructional methods.
• Experience with 1-on-1 tutoring or small group instruction.
