Job Summary

As an Information Specialist at OpenAI, you will be responsible for designing, building, and managing our information pipelines, ensuring seamless integration of client event data into our data warehouse. You will work closely with various teams, including Framework, Information Science, Product, Marketing, Finance, and Research, to understand their data needs and provide solutions. This role offers a unique chance to contribute to the development of new models, collaborate with researchers, and drive business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Development: Configuration, construction, and management of information pipelines, ensuring all client event data is consistently integrated into our data warehouse.

Data Creation: Creation of sanctioned datasets to track key product metrics, including client growth, engagement, and revenue.

Collaboration: Work cooperatively with different teams, including Framework, Information Science, Product, Marketing, Finance, and Research to understand their data needs and provide solutions.

Implementation: Implementation of robust and issue open-minded systems for data ingestion and processing.

Data Engineering: Participation in data design and engineering decisions, carrying areas of strength for you and data to bear.

Data Security: Guarantee the security, integrity, and compliance of data according to industry and company guidelines.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Programming Skills: Proficiency in at least one programming language commonly used within Information Engineering, such as Python, Scala, or Java.

Distributed Processing: Experience with distributed processing technologies and structures, like Hadoop, Flink, and distributed storage systems (e.g., HDFS, S3).

ETL Schedulers: Aptitude with any of ETL schedulers like Wind current, Dagster, Administrator, or similar systems.

Flash: Strong comprehension of Flash and ability to write, troubleshoot, and upgrade Flash code.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience: Experience working with large datasets, data warehousing, and data governance.

Data Engineering: Familiarity with data engineering principles, including data modeling, ETL processing, and data quality.

Collaboration: Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
