**Job Summary**
As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing phone support to patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers to ensure the timely and efficient handling of specialty medications. Your primary responsibilities will include:
* Coordinating and handling new and reordered medication requests, including verifying and updating patient information
* Assisting patients with deciphering and entering new or reordered medications into our pharmacy data system
* Collecting and processing copay payments, obtaining approvals, and working with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve and approve orders with sales or clinical issues
* Collaborating with patients, insurance companies, and internal partners to ensure that financial and clinical expectations are met before medication fulfillment
* Providing empathetic and genuine care to patients, addressing their concerns, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
**Key Responsibilities**
* Provide exceptional phone support to patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers
* Coordinate and handle new and reordered medication requests, including verifying and updating patient information
* Assist patients with deciphering and entering new or reordered medications into our pharmacy data system
* Collect and process copay payments, obtain approvals, and work with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve and approve orders with sales or clinical issues

**Essential Qualifications**
* One year of experience in a customer service role, handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs via telephone
* One year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, web navigation, and email applications
* One year of PC keyboarding experience, skills, and fitness
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Six months of experience resolving a high volume of complex customer needs via telephone
* Medical healthcare work experience and experience with benefits, insurance, medications, and clinical terminology
