Job Overview
The Load Out Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that customer trucks are loaded efficiently and accurately, while providing a positive and empathetic attitude towards customers and truckers. This role requires a unique blend of customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in maintaining our high standards of customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a positive and empathetic attitude towards customers at all times, ensuring that their needs are met and exceeded.
- Ensure that the phone is answered in a friendly and timely manner, providing exceptional customer service and support.
- Minimize customer/trucker wait times by quickly and efficiently loading trucks, while ensuring that all loads meet our high standards of quality and accuracy.
- Fill trucks to specified weights and weight splits in accordance with customer/trucker wishes and DOT regulations, ensuring compliance and safety.
- Monitor dust control levels to ensure every load meets the specified gallons per ton, and take corrective action as needed to ensure that all customers have an excellent quality experience.
- Follow all process steps to fulfill customer orders in the system, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Perform additional paperwork and activities to support the operations, including daily production spreadsheet entry and receiving for purchase orders.
- Keep office area breakrooms and restrooms clean and organized, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:
Essential Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Good people skills and patience required, with previous customer service experience preferred.
- Good oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers, truckers, and colleagues.
- Good typing skills and computer literate, including Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and industry standards.
- Experience with inventory management and logistics.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
