Job Summary

As a Collections Agent, you will play a critical role in contacting and negotiating with customers to collect payments on overdue, defaulted, or write-off loans. You will serve as a liaison between creditors and customers, managing overdue accounts and working to retain customer loyalty while initiating processes for debt recovery. This is a remote opportunity that requires a motivated and experienced professional who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Influence and advise customers on payment options for debt recovery, negotiating payment plans based on company-approved guidelines.
• Execute strategies for collection processes and procedures, building positive rapport with customers to retain loyalty while collecting payments.
• Initiate and handle both inbound and outbound calls to collect debts, demonstrating empathy, assertiveness, tact, and resilience.
• Achieve revenue targets and call quality objectives, using effective questioning and listening skills to communicate with customers via phone, email, chat, and text.
• Maintain compliance with corporate policies, including the company's Creed, Code of Ethics, and Information Security Policies.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed as a Collections Agent, you will need:

• A High School Diploma or GED.
• A minimum of one year of call center or customer service experience, with three years of collections experience in a high-volume call center preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt to a changing environment.
• Strong critical thinking, negotiating, and problem-solving skills, with a background in a fast-paced work environment a plus.
• Bilingual skills in Spanish are preferred but not required.
