Key Responsibilities: Driving Excellence on the 3rd Shift
As a CDL Driver on the 3rd shift, you'll be responsible for:
- Driving a tractor in and around the site or on public roads, moving multiple styles of trailers
- Inspecting tractor/yard truck before and after the shift to ensure safety and maintenance
- Maneuvering tractor/trailer safely throughout the facility within designated lanes and areas
- Maintaining housekeeping within assigned tractor/trailer and defined areas
- Inspecting trailers to be moved to verify condition
- Loading and unloading freight and supplies or assisting in loading and unloading the truck
- Working safely and adhering to all safety policies and practices
Essential and Preferred Qualifications
To succeed as a CDL Driver at GXO Logistics, you'll need:
Essential Qualifications:
- 6 months of Commercial Driver's License (CDL) class A experience
- A current valid driver's license and clean driving record over the past 2 years
- A current valid CDL class A and clean driving record
- Appropriate additional endorsements for Hazmat and Tanker (if required)
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience moving multiple types of trailers (tanks, vans, flatbeds)
