Job Summary
As a Data Analytics Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for driving the sales of Google Cloud Platform's data analytics solutions to government and education customers. You will work closely with clients and prospects to understand their data analytics needs and recommend the innovative solutions that Google has to offer. Your goal will be to generate a plan to ensure large Data Analytics engagement into new Google Cloud accounts, drive new Data Analytics workloads in existing Google Cloud accounts, and build and maintain executive relationships with clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a sales strategy to drive the adoption of Google Cloud Platform's data analytics solutions among government and education customers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with executive-level clients and prospects, understanding their data analytics needs and recommending solutions that meet those needs.
- Generate a plan to ensure large Data Analytics engagement into new Google Cloud accounts and drive new Data Analytics workloads in existing Google Cloud accounts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop the business with new Data Analytics clients and workloads.
- Develop business strategies to achieve success at accelerating sales cycles in an engaged environment.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and innovations in data analytics and cloud-based solutions, and apply that knowledge to drive sales growth.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience in selling information analytics software programs or solutions.
- Experience in government-level sales or consulting in cloud-based (e.g., SaaS) technology to State and Local Government and Higher Education.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with market-leading Business Intelligence front-end, Data Analytics Middleware, or back-end Data Warehouse technology.
- Experience working with AI/ML technology included in information solutions.
- Understanding of Cloud Data Analytics era stack (i.e., Hadoop/Spark Data lakes, SQL Data Warehouses, Data Streaming, ETL and Data Governance, Business Intelligence, Predictive Analytics, OLAP and Data technology framework, BigQuery, Looker, etc.).
- Ability to translate business value to technology at the C-level and act as a thought leader inside the data analytics topics.
