Core Responsibilities – What Your Day Will Look Like
In this role, you will combine hands‑on therapy with strategic leadership. Your daily activities will include:
- Deliver naturalistic occupational therapy sessions for preschool‑aged children with autism, focusing on gross motor, fine motor, sensory processing, feeding, and functional daily living skills.
- Design and adjust individualized treatment plans based on ongoing assessments, family input, and data collected across disciplines.
- Conduct multidisciplinary assessments alongside ABA therapists, speech‑language pathologists, and psychologists to ensure a unified therapeutic approach.
- Co‑treat with speech‑language pathologists to embed OT goals into communication-focused activities, enhancing cross‑skill development.
- Mentor and supervise Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), guiding them on integrating OT objectives into behavior‑analytic sessions.

- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy with a pediatric focus or a closely related specialization.
- Active, unrestricted licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of practice.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands‑on experience providing OT services to children on the autism spectrum or to children with comparable developmental challenges.
- Demonstrated expertise in early‑intervention models, particularly in implementing naturalistic, play‑based therapeutic techniques.
