I'm looking for a business advisor that specializes in small car dealerships that can review the dealerships current processes and advise on whether I should proceed in partnering with a dealership and combining it with our automotive repair shop. I let the dealership move into my property a year ago and cut their expenses down to a 1/3rd of what it was.
It is currently not profitable and has existing debt. I would be assuming debt and taking over 66% of the dealership including current assets. Assets are close to equaling what the debt is. However, with the burden of the debt the company is getting further behind.
I'm looking for someone who has successfully managed a used car dealership between 30 and 80 cars in inventory.
If I agree to partner the only way I see getting out of debt is to bring in investors for the first 12 months to dig it out of a hole.
I've got all my numbers for the past year. I took over all their accounting to help them and to help me better understand the numbers. I need a sanity check and am looking for someone more experienced than I am in this field.
