Business Development Representative

Guardian Security Systems, Inc. is a locally owned company in Washington State that provides life and property protection services. The Business Development Representative will focus on outbound prospecting, lead generation, and qualifying opportunities to support customer acquisition and revenue growth. Responsibilities Drives proactive outreach to new prospects via cold calls and emails to build a robust sales funnel Schedules in-person meetings at various conferences held throughout the year for Strategic Account Managers Understands customer needs and requirements through effective questioning and active listening Qualifies leads and routes viable opportunities to the outside sales team for follow-up and closure Uses CRM and sales outreach tools to find contacts at prospective companies Achieves monthly quota of 10 SQLs (Sales Qualified Leads) for the multi-site strategic accounts team Meets weekly activity quota Participates in virtual team meetings and trainings as needed Maintains accurate daily and weekly reporting including funnel updates and prospective client lists Skills Sales and business development experience is preferred Valid and current Driver's license with reliable transportation Proficient MS Office Suite skills, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel Proficient with corporate productivity and web presentation tools Ability to problem solve, self-start, and work independently Proven ability to exceed performance benchmarks Flexible and dependable Professional demeanor and attitude Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing Strong time management and prioritization skills Able to create a strategic plan and execute the plan Skilled at building trust and rapport over the phone with high-level contacts including facilities managers, project managers, CTOs, CFOs, VPs of Operations, and CEOs Ability to explain complex technologies to non-technical audiences Capable of creating and executing strategic outreach plans Proficient in leveraging tools like Apollo.io to identify, engage, and convert prospects into meetings through strategic outreach Benefits Health, Vision, and Life Insurance premiums paid for by Guardian Low-cost Dental Insurance 401(k) with company match after 1 year AD&D insurance Employee assistance program (EAP) Flexible spending account (FSA) Paid time off that builds with tenure (Year 1 - 88 hours) Additional 8 paid holidays Tuition reimbursement/PAID Professional Development PTO (24 hours that renews every year!)
