Webflow or Squarespace Developer for QR-Based Book Companion Site (Paperback + Ebook)
Job Description I’m hiring a Webflow (preferred) or Squarespace developer to build a Book Companion Site (BCS) for my Jesus-centered illustrated novel And Then a Light Broke Through (paperback + ebook). The book is adapted from a feature-length screenplay and sung-through libretto for a future film (all dialogue is sung). Music is central to the story. Readers will access the BCS in two ways: Paperback: scanning QR codes printed in the book Ebook: clicking embedded chapter links In both cases, they must land directly on a chapter-specific page where they can listen to a short sample and purchase the full track. THIS IS NOT A MARKETING SITE and NOT a SEO project. It’s a clean, utility-style site optimized for mobile speed and clarity. Scope of Work 1) Chapter Page Template (Primary Deliverable) Build one reusable chapter page template (Webflow CMS or Squarespace equivalent) that will be duplicated for up to 17 chapters. Each chapter page must include: Chapter title Short chapter description (I provide) A small, clean audio player for a 30–60 second MP3 sample (I provide files) A BUY FULL TRACK button linking to the correct Payhip product page (digital download) Optional chapter artwork (I provide) A clean, permanent URL slug (example: /chapter-7-lazarus) suitable for QR codes and ebook links Key requirements: Mobile-first (most users arrive by phone scan) Audio player and buy button should be visible quickly (no deep scrolling) Fast loading pages Easy for me to update later (swap audio, text, and buy links) 2) Simple Chapter Index Page (Secondary) Create a minimal index page listing all chapters (grid or list) that links to each chapter page. This is a fallback; most users land directly on chapter pages via QR/link.
