Water Resources Engineer

They are seeking an Engineering Associate II – Water Resources to develop hydrologic and hydraulic models, support design teams, and ensure compliance with project requirements. Responsibilities Develop hydrologic and hydraulic models using tools like QGIS and HEC-RAS with minimal supervision Translate survey, geotechnical, and regulatory data into clear, accurate digital models and reports Support design teams with calculations for culverts, drainage features, stormwater systems, and grading optimization Prepare hydrology and stormwater reports that are clear, accurate, and compliant with project and regulatory requirements Perform quality control reviews of junior staff work, providing constructive feedback and technical guidance Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-disciplinary teams to support successful project delivery Contribute to continuous improvement of modeling workflows, documentation, and QA/QC practices Skills Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field 1–4 years of experience in hydrology, hydraulics, stormwater management, or related civil engineering work Proficiency with QGIS or ArcMap for data processing and map generation Strong understanding of hydrologic and hydraulic engineering principles Experience working with engineering standards, permitting requirements, and local or state regulations Comfort using Microsoft Office and Bluebeam for documentation and QA/QC Strong problem-solving skills, organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities Clear written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative mindset Benefits Health Insurance (Medical through United Healthcare/UMR) Dental and Vision Insurance STD (Short-Term Disability) and LTD (Long-Term Disability) Insurance Life Insurance EAP (Employee Assistance Program) Paid Time Off 401k Match Choice Benefit Flexible Work Time Performance-Based Bonus Point-Based Recognition Parental Benefits Referral Bonus Certification Bonus Hybrid / Remote Culture Company Overview EVS is a civil engineering company specializing in engineering and surveying services.
