Offered Position: System Admin/Engr III Job Location: Seattle, Washington Job Number: AMZ9442001 Position Responsibilities: Owning and driving operational projects while providing leadership and participating in the overall planning, execution, and success of complex cross-functional teams, including training and directing junior team members in technical implementations. Leading and providing sophisticated remote technical support throughout all phases of web service implementation for key customers regarding troubleshooting, performance, cost, and security optimization around cloud-based compute, network, storage, memory, virtual machines and file share services. Supporting incoming customer requests by deploying extensive troubleshooting approaches that incorporate high-level perspectives of Amazon Services in customer architecture, with particular focus on complex production-critical issues, including deep dive analysis of customer-specific technical issues using available internal Amazon tools to view customer resources. Designing and overseeing the execution of large and complex migration plans for existing on-premise client environments onto AWS Cloud, while leading efforts to drive existing cloud architecture growth through new AWS service subscriptions. Developing and refining operational policies and procedures used by engineering support team members and other cross functional team members, including documenting corner case scenarios and troubleshooting workflows in AWS internal knowledge databases.
