Job Overview As a Substitute Teacher with Scoot Education, you will have the opportunity to work in various schools across Southeast Los Angeles, including Lynwood USD, ABC USD, Lifeline Education Charter Schools, Green Dot Public Schools, Ingenium Schools, Aspire Public Schools, Alliance Public Schools, KIPP SoCal, and more. You will be responsible for providing high-quality educational experiences for students, building relationships with staff and the school community, and demonstrating flexibility and initiative in high-stress situations. Key Responsibilities: Provide engaging and interactive lessons for students in various subjects, including Kinder, Early Years, Early Childhood, Elementary, Middle, High, SpEd, Special Ed, Resource Specialist, IEP, Paraprofessional, Teaching Aide, Teaching Assistant, Instructional Assistant, Campus Aide, Yard Supervisor, Math, Science, STEM, English, ELA, History, Social Studies, PE, Physical Education, Music, Art, Drama, and Theatre Studies Build relationships with students, staff, and the school community to create a positive and inclusive learning environment Demonstrate flexibility and initiative, particularly in high-stress situations Continuously reflect and seek feedback to improve teaching practices and student outcomes Take a TB Risk Assessment and Live Scan (cost covered by Scoot Education) Requirements and Qualifications: Background in education and/or passion for education Value learning above all else and prioritize students' success Possess a growth mindset and empathetic nature Driven and hungry to be the best educator possible 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit or CA Teaching Credential (preferred) Benefits and Compensation: Earn up to $4000 per month, with daily pay rates varying based on credentials and assignment Competitive salary and benefits package Paid trainings and weekly deposits Flexible scheduling with no minimums, allowing you to pursue other interests and projects $0 costs for onboarding, with all expenses related to state-required health screenings and tests covered by Scoot Education Earn referral bonuses of $100 for each friend referred to Scoot Education who works 10 shifts Why Choose Scoot Education?
