Software Engineer Manager

SAIC is seeking a seasoned and innovative Software Engineering Manager to lead our development team responsible for delivering Enterprise Platforms such as ServiceNow, Jira, and Ivanti. The successful candidate will oversee team managers, and facilitate the overall direction and strategy established for the service offering in support of the Enterprise Practice. • Lead and coach the software engineering team managers, remove blockers, support decisions, escalate when appropriate. • Develop and implement service delivery best practices for software development and integration within the enterprise platforms context. • Implement best practice capacity and resource allocation processes with supporting tool(s) that optimize productivity of the software engineering team. • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, program managers, and product owners facilitating effective communication and alignment of team performance. • Lead the deployment of software projects, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. • Connect the team’s capacity to the Enterprise Pre Award Pipeline and On Contract Growth opportunities, using Demand Management principles. • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and high performance within the team. • Ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet customer needs and business requirements. • Drive initiatives for service innovation and continuous improvement in the use of ServiceNow, Jira, and Ivanti. • Support a standard estimating process for large scale implementations in a variety of SaaS, and secure cloud architectures. • Manage the annual cost plan and monthly financials of the ServiceNow O&M Shared Service • Comply with technical and strategic partnership guidelines maintaining status set by the practice leaders. • Work with Solution Engineers on proposal efforts, providing one’s own Subject Matter Expertise or pulling from within the team. • Provide inputs, track metrics and report offering performance for internal RFIs • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation within the team. Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and 14 years o experience. Masters Degree and 12 years of expereince. • Minimum of 7 years of experience in delivering software engineering projects, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role. • Strong proficiency in software development lifecycle management and agile methodologies. • Practical experience with enterprise platforms such as ServiceNow, Jira, and Ivanti. • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills. • Proven ability to lead and motivate a software engineering team. • Experience with capacity management and resource optimization. • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent project management experience. • Ability to obtain Secret DoD Clearance. • Candidates must be U.S. Citizens. Desired Qualifications: • Master’s degree in a related field. • Experience in the defense industry, or a similar consulting practice. • Certifications or substantial experience with ServiceNow, Jira, and Ivanti. • Familiarity with ITIL or other service management frameworks. • Secret DoD clearance Apply tot his job
