About the Role As a Senior Manager, Growth Data Engineering, you will lead a team of experienced engineers in building analytical databases that inform product, analytics, and data decisions in our Growth and Acquisition strategies. You will be part of our Product organization within Data and Insights, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute a vision and strategy for your team, leveraging your technical expertise and business acumen to drive growth and expansion. Lead, mentor, and guide a high-performing team of engineers to achieve exceptional results and foster a culture of innovation and collaboration. Build strong relationships with product, data science, analytics, and engineering leaders and partners to drive business outcomes and align with Netflix's strategic priorities. Develop and coach individual team members to reach their full potential, providing constructive feedback and guidance. Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement scalable data architectures that meet the needs of our growth and acquisition strategies. Develop and maintain technical roadmaps, aligning with business objectives and ensuring technical excellence. Who Are We Looking For? We're seeking a seasoned leader with a strong technical background, business acumen, and exceptional leadership skills. You should: Essential Qualifications: Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Have 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on growth and acquisition strategies. Possess strong technical skills, including proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala. Have experience with big data technologies, including S3, Spark, Elasticsearch, and graph databases. Demonstrate a deep understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and data governance. Exhibit exceptional leadership skills, with experience in managing high-performing teams and driving business outcomes. Preferred Qualifications: Have experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders. Be familiar with Netflix's technology stack and architecture. Possess experience with data science and analytics tools, such as Jupyter Notebooks, Apache Beam, or Apache Spark. Have a strong understanding of business acumen and market trends.
