Sampling Analyst, SAS Programmer

Job Description: • Collaborate with internal staff and clients across all of Escalents industry groups regarding research methods, sampling, and weighting design of a complex nature. • Acquire, prepare, and monitor survey samples for a wide range of survey research projects, including telephone, mail and web surveys. • Manage and process large sets of data (provided in various formats) into usable sample files using SAS software. • Design and execute on multi-variate data weighting schemes using SAS software • Works as primary sampling / weighting / methodological contact on multiple projects at a time in a fast-paced environment. • Independently develop new solutions to novel and complex issues. • Provide methodological guidance to research teams that is scientifically supported by the research literature and/or industry best practices. • Create, enhance, and implement processes to improve projects and department functions. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree required. • Experienced SAS programmer, minimum 3 years of experience required programming in SAS • Minimum 1 years of experience in survey/market research or related field • Must have excellent database management skills, • Experience with SQL syntax a plus • Previous experience would be helpful in the following areas: survey sample design and sampling statistics data weighting survey methodology or research procedures • Must have strong organizational skills • Extremely strong attention to detail required • Must be a strong and resourceful problem solver • Must have comfort interacting with clients, internal and external • Participates in client meetings and provides appropriate input for status updates • Recognizes potential business issues and opportunities. Understands clients business and complexities of their organization.
