Role Overview • Position: Biology Subject Matter Expert – Contract, Remote • Commitment: 15-20 hours per week, potential to extend up to 40+ hours • Duration: Minimum of 1-2 months • Contribute expertise to a project involving state-of-the-art large language models. Help create high-quality data to inform AI innovation by curating difficult problems in your domain. Responsibilities • Evaluate the accuracy and depth of AI-generated content in Biology. • Review complex scientific content to ensure alignment with Biology principles. • Provide detailed feedback to AI research teams to improve model outputs. • Develop and implement evaluation rubrics for AI-generated Biology tasks. • Collaborate with other subject matter experts to ensure consistency in training data. • Work independently and asynchronously to meet project deadlines and improve AI model performance. Requirements / Qualifications Must-Have Qualifications • Pursuing/holding a Biology-related PhD / Master’s from a leading US or Canadian university. • OR Worked full-time in a Biology-related domain in US or Canada for >1 year. • High attention to detail. • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. • Excellent proficiency in English. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with AI model training and evaluation. • Familiarity with large language models.
