[Remote] Unisys 2200 DBA

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. ISoftech Inc is seeking a Unisys OS 2200 Database Administrator (DBA) to provide database administration, design, and development support for a Federal Government Agency. The DBA will collaborate with Development teams to optimize database performance and support both non-production and production databases. Responsibilities • Provide Unisys database administration, design, and development support • Collaborate with Development teams to modify and tune new and existing database access interfaces • Analyze database performance as needed • Support the operations and maintenance of non-production databases • Provide secondary support to production database support personnel • Upgrade database system software such as UDS, DMS and RDMS • Modify existing schemas, subschemas and RDMS tables • Maintain and execute UCOB applications • Program, plan, design, develop, analyze, test, and resolve application problems using the databases • Knowledge of database backup, restore, recovery capabilities Skills • Experience with Unisys OS 2200 Database Administration • Experience with database design and development support • Ability to collaborate with Development teams • Experience in modifying and tuning database access interfaces • Ability to analyze database performance • Support operations and maintenance of non-production databases • Provide secondary support to production database support personnel • Experience with Unisys Dorado 8590 partitions • Experience with DMS 2200 databases • Experience with RDMS 2200 • Experience upgrading database system software such as UDS, DMS, and RDMS • Experience with modification of existing schemas, subschemas, and RDMS tables • Experience maintaining and executing UCOB applications • Experience in programming, planning, designing, developing, analyzing, testing, and resolving application problems using databases • Knowledge of database backup, restore, and recovery capabilities Company Overview • Isoftech is a computer software company that offers IT consulting, maintenance, and product development services.
