Job Highlights: Position: Remote Pharmacy Technician Company: Pride Health Location: Remote (work from home) Contract Duration: 8 months (contract to permanent) Start Date: Immediate openings available Compensation: Competitive hourly rate ($18 - $20 per hour, based on experience and credentials) About the Role As a Remote Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting our client's medical facility by handling prior authorization inquiries, processing member prescriptions, and resolving formulary and benefits issues. This is a unique opportunity to work independently in a remote setting while being part of a larger healthcare team. Key Responsibilities: Primarily answer prior authorization inquiry calls/requests, providing excellent customer service and resolving issues efficiently. Research and resolve formulary and benefits issues using appropriate reference materials. Process member prescriptions or prior authorizations through various computer systems, ensuring accuracy and updating information as necessary. Receive and process prior authorization requests from providers and members, using established criteria and guidelines. Resolve issues and complaints promptly and professionally. Perform other duties as assigned by management, including handling inbound phone requests and gathering member data for Pharmacist consultations. Maintain a safe and secure workspace, communicating any concerns or issues to leadership. Qualifications and Requirements To be successful in this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Active National or State Board Pharmacy Technician Licensure through either the Pharmacy Technicians Certification Board (PTCB) or State Board of Pharmacy Licensure in your state of residence. A private and secure space to work from home with a hard-wired ethernet cord. Permanent residency in one of the following states: Minnesota, Wisconsin, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, Arizona, Colorado, Oregon, Iowa, Kansas. Preferred qualifications include: Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician, particularly in a remote or telepharmacy setting. Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, including prior authorization processes and formulary management. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
