[Remote] Concept Artist - Games

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Intelliswift, an LTTS Company, is seeking a Lead Concept Artist in games to shape the look and feel of game worlds. The role involves establishing art style, tone, and mood while experimenting with new visual techniques in the evolving mixed reality field. Responsibilities • Establish Art Style & Tone • Collaborate with the team, art, and game direction to set art style and tone guides. • Create inspiring mood pieces, gameplay and character ideation, sketches, and color keys. • Script & Visual Development • Work with other art and design disciplines to steer initial conceptual direction into compelling visual and game experiences. • Contribute throughout development, including detailed production callouts, reference materials, and mood boards. Skills • Background in Gaming • Ideal candidates should have a strong background in the gaming industry. • Experience working on racing games is highly preferred. • Ability to provide 3-4 distinct visual styles for review and iteration. • Need to have understanding of game development pipelines, player experience, and interactive design required for this role. • Demonstrates flexibility and creativity in conceptualizing different looks and feels. • 3-5 years Industry experience as a concept Artist • Portfolio that demonstrates conceptual design fundamentals and versatility in both rapid ideation sketching and production paintings • Experienced foundational art knowledge in theories of form, value, color, proportion, anatomy, and scale • Communication skills and experience in both effectively give and receive creative and artistic critique • Familiarity with making games • Experience with virtual reality (VR) platforms is a plus. • Understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in VR game art. • Prior work specifically on racing games is a bonus, further strengthening the candidate’s fit.
