They are seeking an entry-level Production Editor to manage a diverse list of academic journals, overseeing the production process from manuscript acceptance to publication while ensuring optimized workflows and excellent customer service. Responsibilities Guide content through the entire production journey—from initial acceptance all the way to online and print publication Regularly monitor your portfolio of titles, ensuring that they run on optimized workflows and meet department publication metrics Oversee a group of assigned vendor-managed journals, which includes monitoring journal health, publication schedules, and providing support and guidance to the vendor project managers Deliver excellent customer service to all stakeholders, both internal and external Communicate effectively with authors, Editors-in-Chief, and various internal departments Assist and lead on local and global department projects as required Skills Professional, relevant, or relatable experience Excellent organization skills and confidence in completing multiple tasks to deadlines Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, oral and written A strong command of English grammar and academic styles Ability to successfully thrive in a fast, process-driven workflow Experience working in a customer-facing role Familiarity with Microsoft Office software, content management, and/or customer relationship management systems Demonstrated ability to be detail-oriented, accurate, and a problem-solver Adaptability and grace under pressure Benefits An excellent work/life balance with a fantastic, flexible working culture Paid sick time 15 days annual leave per year plus an extra day off for your birthday 3 additional discretionary days for the holiday season at the end of the year Up to 8 weeks of paid parental leave Medical, vision, and dental benefits 4 volunteer days per year 401(k) + employer match Seasonal social and charitable events Continuous training and development Company Overview Taylor & Francis Group is an international company that publishes books and academic journals.
