We are seeking an experienced Optometrist looking to make a significant impact in a new multi-specialty, community-focused healthcare setting. Join this healthcare facility in launching a brand-new optometry practice within a reputable, multi-specialty, non-profit health center dedicated to serving rural populations. If you're looking to lead and grow this exciting new initiative, then this position is for you. Key Responsibilities: • Perform comprehensive eye examinations and diagnose eye conditions, including refractive errors and diseases. • Prescribe corrective lenses and vision therapies, as well as medications as needed. • Provide patient education on eye care and refer patients to ophthalmologists or other specialists when necessary. • Deliver pre-and post-operative care and evaluate patients for additional medical conditions uncovered during exams, such as diabetes and high blood pressure. • Act as the sole Optometrist on-site, with the opportunity to build and grow the practice through networking with local practitioners and community resources. Benefits: • Competitive guaranteed salary range of $150,000 to $175,000, commensurate with experience and skills (including languages). • Full benefits package including group health insurance, optional dental and vision insurance, corporate-paid short-term and long-term disability, and life insurance. • Retirement plan with corporate contributions. • Generous Paid Time Off and Holidays. • Continuing Education Leave and Allowance. • Employee and dependent healthcare allowance applicable at all practices, which offer a range of services from family medicine to behavioral health. • Reimbursement for state licensing fees. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a new practice from the ground up, with an anticipated opening in September 2025. We are committed to fostering a supportive environment where you can thrive professionally and personally. Work Schedule: • Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. • Combination of on-site and remote work with no weekend duties.
