The State of Wisconsin's Department of Public Instruction (DPI) is seeking an Office Operations Associate to support administrative functions in Wausau and Green Bay. This role involves providing administrative leadership for workshops, meetings, grant reporting, budgeting, and scheduling, while ensuring consistency and accuracy in program support. Responsibilities Coordination of data collection activity Maintaining databases Preparing and executing mailings and maintaining mailing lists for ongoing projects for state-funded and federal grant expenditures Coordinating statewide and regional events And a wide range of complex activities involving the supervisor and staff Skills Using a Microsoft Office product (e.g., Word, Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, etc.) or similar (e.g., Google suite, etc.) Assisting internal and external customers with questions by utilizing a variety of communication methods (e.g., phone, email, fax, in person, etc.) Managing files/records (e.g., naming conventions, storage methods, retention schedules, etc.) Budgeting and purchasing (e.g., tracking team expenses and expenditures, keeping a detailed tracker, comparing costs, etc.) A criminal background check will be conducted prior to an offer of hire A TB screen will be required prior to start Applicants must be legally entitled to work in the United States (i.e., a citizen or national of the U.S., without DPI sponsorship) Applying governmental or non-profit procurement principles and methods (e.g., government bidding, mandatory contracts, etc.) Applying respect, equity, inclusion and belonging practices throughout assigned responsibilities Compiling and publishing or compiling and distributing reports that utilize several data sources Participating in or working with an educational opportunity program (e.g., GEAR UP, Upward Bound, Talent Incentive Program, etc.) Benefits Exceptional employee assistance program Flexible work schedules Eligible for the federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program Company Overview The State of Wisconsin is a U.S. state located in the north-central United States, in the Midwest and Great Lakes regions.
