City/State Suffolk, VA Work Shift Second (Evenings) Overview: Monitor Technician Part-Time, Evening Shift Observes, recognizes, interprets, evaluates, and documents EKG tracings on telemetry-monitored patients in order to detect deviations from patient's norm. Promptly notifies appropriate personnel of dysrhythmias. Operates and utilizes monitoring system to full capacity. Ensures proper and safe functioning of the telemetry equipment. Requirements High School Diploma 1-2 Telemetry Monitory Experience or Completion of a Telemetry Course Preferred Completion of a monitor technician surveillance program/course required upon hire. To be released from new employee orientation all Monitor Technicians must successfully complete the Sentara Basic Arrhythmia competency tool which includes passing a basic arrhythmia exam. .
