Together, let’s embrace possibilities and change lives! Labcorp is seeking a Medical Coder Trainee to join our team in our Revenue Cycle Management Division! This somewhat fast-paced work-from-home position is responsible for completing the manual Medical Translations and Coding processing. What to Expect: • Reviews and assigns the appropriate ICD-10-CM coding to medical diagnosis, procedures and services in an entry level capacity. • Gains knowledge of department procedures and operations. • Integrates medical coding and reimbursement rule changes into a practice reimbursement process. Education and Qualifications: • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent. • Associates degree preferred. • Must have passed ICD class and Unbillables (UB) training • At least one of the following Medical Billing credentials through AAPC or AHIMA required: CPC, CPC-A, CCS, CCS-P is required • Previous RCM Medical Translator experience, strongly preferred Knowledge, Skills and Ability, required: • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology necessary to correct code provider diagnosis and services. • Knowledge of medical coding rules and regulations including compliance and reimbursement which enable proficiency with medical necessity, claims denials, bonding issues and charge capture. • LCLS /LCBS knowledge and experience, strongly preferred • LabCorp Image systems • Ability to manage time and tasks independently while maintaining productivity, as needed • Strong attention to detail • Ability to perform successfully in a fast-paced and changing team environment • Excellent organizational and communication skills REMOTE WORK: • Must have high level Internet speed (50 mbps) connectivity • Dedicated work from home space • Ability to focus on work uninterrupted for long periods of time • Will require strong attention to detail and structured work environment Why should I become an Accounts Receivable Specialist at Labcorp? · Generous Paid Time off! · Medical, Vision and Dental Insurance Options! · Flexible Spending Accounts! · 401k and Employee Stock Purchase Plans! · No Charge Lab Testing! · Fitness Reimbursement Program! · And many more incentives!
