Responsibilities • Develop and implement an engaging curriculum for the Master of Science in Genetic Counseling Program. • Provide instruction and mentorship to students, fostering their growth and understanding of genetic counseling principles. • Coordinate clinical placements and ensure students receive practical experiences in diverse healthcare settings. • Stay abreast of developments in the field of genetic counseling and incorporate new findings into the curriculum. • Evaluate and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their professional development. • Collaborate with other faculty members to enhance interdisciplinary education and research opportunities. • Participate in program development activities, including accreditation processes and curricular reviews. • A doctoral degree in genetics, counseling, or a related field is required. • Current board certification or eligibility for board certification in genetic counseling. • Experience in teaching at the graduate level and mentoring students preferred. • Strong understanding of genetic counseling ethics, practices, and current trends in the field. • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex genetic concepts clearly and effectively to diverse audiences. • Experience in clinical genetics or genetic counseling is highly desirable. • Commitment to fostering diversity and inclusivity within the educational environment.
