About the position Beveridge & Diamond, PC, the foremost national corporate environmental law firm, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Talent Development Assistant to provide administrative and operational support to the Talent team. This role plays a key part in supporting firmwide attorney and business professional development initiatives, performance management cycles, and internal systems. The Talent Development Assistant will collaborate closely with departments including Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Belonging, Recruiting, HR, Marketing & Business Development, IT, and Beveridge & Diamond University (BDU) to support development experiences that align with the firm’s strategic priorities. Responsibilities • Maintain and update training calendars and track program milestones to ensure deadlines are met. • Schedule and coordinate in-house and external training programs, including setup on platforms such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom. • Prepare and distribute CLE documentation (e.g., sign-in sheets, evaluation forms, certificates of attendance). • Track participant engagement and collect program evaluation data. • Compile and summarize program feedback for leadership review. • Maintain CLE records in Intellek, including inputting CLE credits, tracking attendance, and generating reports. • Support the administration of the Firm’s e-learning platforms, including uploading training content to the intranet or learning systems as needed. • Maintain and update program documentation, templates, and resource libraries. • Build and maintain the Firm’s internal library/archive of professional development programs, ensuring these materials are readily available for on-demand viewing or other uses, as appropriate. • Support the tracking of evaluation timelines, participation, and status reports throughout each cycle. • Track evaluation cycle deadlines and send reminders to stakeholders. • Prepare materials and organize documentation for performance review meetings. • Assist in compiling evaluation summaries and follow-up documentation. • Assist in maintaining and organizing documents related to attorney and business professional performance evaluations using PerformYard, the Firm’s performance management system. • Maintain confidentiality and secure handling of performance materials. • Support data entry, list management, and reporting in platforms such as Intellek and PerformYard. • Generate and maintain routine reports, dashboards, spreadsheets, surveys, and summaries related to talent metrics and learning engagement for leadership. • Conduct periodic data audits to ensure system accuracy. • Assist with user support and troubleshoot basic system inquiries. • Support implementation logistics for new learning tools and resources. • Prepare internal communications, meeting materials, agendas, and presentation decks for Talent initiatives. • Draft internal communications related to training initiatives and development programming. • Draft internal newsletters, announcements, and other written correspondence on behalf of the Talent Team. • Maintain and update internal development resources (intranet, shared folders, newsletters). • Organize and maintain shared Talent Team files and folders for streamlined access and version control. • Schedule meetings, manage calendars, and coordinate logistics for development events and team projects. • Process expense reimbursements and handle financial tracking for Talent Team leadership. • Coordinate cross-functional communications with HR, Recruiting, and DEIB as directed. • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments and provide administrative support across the full scope of Talent Development initiatives. • Assist with additional team projects and responsibilities as assigned. • Demonstrate flexibility and the ability to pivot as emergency projects and unexpected priorities arise. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in Human Resources, Communications, Psychology, or a related field. • 1–2 years of administrative or professional services experience, preferably in a law firm or legal talent setting. • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. • Demonstrated proactive organizational skills and consistent follow-through on assignments and deadlines. • Strong proofreading skills with the ability to produce clear, concise, and professional written communications. • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, work independently, and anticipate team needs. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Professional demeanor, discretion, and a team-oriented mindset. • Demonstrated discretion and sound judgment, particularly when handling confidential or sensitive matters in a fast-paced environment. • Willingness to work occasional overtime during busy periods or events, with supervisor approval.
