Key Responsibilities: Driving Student Success
As a Student Support Lab Coordinator, you will be responsible for a range of critical tasks that support the academic and personal growth of our students. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Organizing Student Lab:
- Collaborating with mentors to identify students who require additional support
- Reaching out to parents and selected students to invite them to attend the Student Support Lab
- Monitoring student attendance and engagement within the lab
- Providing assistance to the student support team as required
- Supervising and delegating tasks to staff responsible for overseeing student support in the lab
- Assisting With Tier 2 Response To Intervention:
- Assisting mentors in implementing evidence-based interventions with identified students
- Maintaining open communication with parents regarding student needs and progress
- Sharing student progress or challenges with mentors
- Monitoring and documenting student progress, tracking relevant data
- Offering data insights to support Special Education referrals when necessary
- Attending scheduled training sessions for intervention programs and ensuring proficient implementation
- Providing Academic Coaching And Instruction:
- Working directly with students to complete assignments as needed
- Supporting students in developing effective time management and study skills
- Conducting lab sessions to aid students in completing and comprehending classwork
- Participating In Special Education L10 Meetings:
- Reporting student attendance and data numbers on a weekly Scorecard
- Establishing quarterly professional development goals
- Ensuring timely responses to emails within 24 hours and completion of all assigned tasks via Asana
- Coordinating And Reporting Results To Stakeholders:
- Documenting and communicating weekly with students, parents, mentors, and supervisors regarding student responses to intervention
- Other Duties as Assigned: Being flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and needs
Qualifications and Skills: What We're Looking For
To excel as a Student Support Lab Coordinator, you will need to possess a unique blend of skills, experience, and personal qualities. Our ideal candidate will have:
Minimum Qualifications
- Two years of experience in tutoring, teaching, or working as a teacher's assistant, or equivalent experience; OR an Associate's degree and one year of related experience
- Demonstrated work experience with educational staff, students, and their families
- Proven integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment
Preferred Qualifications
- Advocacy skills and the ability to collaborate with other staff members to achieve the school's overall vision
- Ability to effectively respond to the needs of diverse students and families
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in computer skills, with the ability to adapt and learn various state systems, programs, and processes
